2-round mock after Russell Wilson signs with Giants

The Giants land Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter in a 2025 NFL mock draft after signing veteran quarterback Russell Wilson

It’s NFL draft season, and after a successful start to the free agent frenzy, things are starting to ratchet up following a blockbuster deal that saw veteran quarterback Russell Wilson join the New York Giants on a one-year contract. The move gives the Giants two veteran quarterbacks and could move the franchise away from selecting a signal-caller, with GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll needing success in 2025 to avoid being fired.

The Tennessee Titans are on the clock, and outside of an earth-shattering deal for the No. 1 pick, Cam Ward seems to be the guy, especially after the Giants, the most likely trade partner, signed Wilson and Jameis Winston.

With the draft now 25 days away, we’re looking at an updated two-round mock draft that will see the Giants land the Heisman Trophy winner and a two-way star.

Round 1

Rd 1 Pick 2: Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)

Ward had a dazzling Pro Day, and the Titans get their quarterback of the future.

Rd 1 pick 2: Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, DE, Penn State

The Browns address the defensive side of the ball and select Abdul Carter, creating a lethal pass-rushing duo that combines the former Penn State star and Myles Garrett

Rd 1 pick 3: New York Giants: Travis Hunter, WR, Colorado

The Giants have pieces, and with the current regime looking to avoid a firing, they select the Heisman Trophy winner and a two-way player who improves both sides of the football.

Rd 1 Pick 4: New England Patriots: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

The 6-foot-3 and 320-pound Graham earned first-team All-Big Ten honors again in 2024 after posting career highs in total tackles (45) and sacks (3.5). He also had at least seven tackles for loss in his second consecutive season.

Rd 1 Pick 5: Jacksonville Jaguars: Will Campbell, OL, LSU

Campbell is an athletic marvel who can play multiple positions, and the Jaguars get Trevor Lawrence added protection. During Campbell’s 37 games at LSU, he allowed only 45 pressures and only three sacks, with one coming in his first game and one coming in his last game. Campbell was awarded LSU’s coveted No. 7 this year, which is given by the coaching staff each season to the player deemed the team’s best playmaker (because of NCAA rules, Campbell wore No. 66 with a No. 7 patch on his jersey).

Rd 1 Pick 6: Las Vegas Raiders: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

The Raiders have their new quarterback in Geno Smith, and a home run hitter at running back in Ashton Jeanty.

Rd 1 Pick 7: New York Jets: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

McMillan is ranked by ESPN’s Mel Kiper as the No. 2 wide receiver prospect for the draft and No. 11 overall. McMillan continued to produce even as the Wildcats struggled to a 4-8 record, finishing top five nationally with 84 catches and 1,319 yards receiving to earn first-team AP All-Big 12 honors.

He is Arizona’s all-time leader in receiving yards, finishing with 3,423 in three seasons.

Rd 1 Pick 8: Carolina Panthers: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

The Panthers added an All-American cornerback after inking Jaycee Horn into a historic deal.

Rd 1 Pick 9: New Orleans Saints: Armand Membou, OL, Missouri

One of the biggest standouts at the NFL Scouting Combine, Membou displayed his elite size and plenty of quickness to grab the attention of scouts in attendance.

RD 1 Pick 10: Chicago Bears: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

The Bears have surrounded quarterback Caleb Williams with elite beef along the offensive line, and they’ll give an elite pass-catching tight end in Tyler Warren.

Rd 1 Pick 11: San Francisco 49ers: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

The 6’3″, 235-pounder Campbell has sideline-to-sideline speed and impressive coverage skills. He also flourished as a quality pass rusher—he registered five sacks in 2024.

Rd 1 Pick 12: Dallas Cowboys: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

The 6’2” 194 194-pound cornerback has dealt with a toe injury, but could give the Cowboys an elite prospect on the outside with Trevon Diggs returning from injury.

Rd 1 Pick 13: Miami Dolphins: Mike Green, Edge, Marshall

Last season, as a redshirt sophomore, Green led the FBS in sacks (17.0), tackles for loss (22.5), sack yardage (144) and tackles by a defensive lineman (84).

His 17 sacks established a new Sun Belt Conference record.

Rd 1 Pick 14: Indianapolis Colts: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College

Ezeiruaku is a bit undersized (6-3, 248 pounds) but uses his 34-inch arms and first-step speed to get around and under the hands of offensive tackles. He was highly productive this past season, with 80 tackles and 16.5 sacks, the second-best in the FBS.

Rd 1 Pick 15: Atlanta Falcons: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

The 6-foot, 195-pound Golden finished strong after a slow start to the Longhorns’ season. He logged at least 50 yards receiving in five of Texas’s last six games, including over 100+ yards against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game and Arizona State in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal round.

Golden ended the season as the Longhorns” leading receiver with 58 catches for 987 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging 17.02 yards per catch as one of the SEC’s premier big-play threats.

Rd 1 Pick 16: Arizona Cardinals: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

The game-wrecking defensive tackle gives Jonathan Gannon an elite run stopper in the middle of his defense.

Rd 1 Pick 17: Cincinnati Bengals: Malaki Starks, DB, Georgia

The Bengals land the nation’s top safety and versatile defensive back. The 2nd team All-American led the team with 77 tackles.

Rd 1 Pick 18: Seattle Seahawks: Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M

In his three seasons at Texas A&M, Stewart recorded 65 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. He also added four passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown, and two forced fumbles. Stewart brings good size, length, and frame for the position, but needs to be more consistent.

Rd 1 Pick 19: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia

Williams was a second-team All-SEC selection during the 2024 college football season. Williams racked up 67 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks in 40 games.

Rd 1 Pick 20: Denver Broncos: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Egbuka recorded 1,011 receiving yards on 81 catches in 2024. He scored 10 touchdowns, tying his career-high from 2022.

Rd 1 Pick 21: Pittsburgh Steelers: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

A quarterback sits at the top of the Steelers’ list, and Sanders had impressive numbers in 2024, completing 74 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards.

Rd 1 Pick 22: Los Angeles Chargers: Josh Simmons, OL, Ohio State

Born in San Diego, Simmons spent his first two college seasons at San Diego State, where he started 13 games in his sophomore year in 2022. Simmons transferred to Ohio State and earned the starting left tackle job in 2023, starting every game that season. Simmons started in the first six games of the 2024 season, sustaining his injury in the loss to Oregon.

Rd 1 Pick 23: Green Bay Packers: Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia

During the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, Walker was measured in at 6-foot-1, 243 pounds in Indianapolis with an armspan of 79⅞ inches — the reach length scouts want in rushers. By comparison, Ole Miss All-American Walter Nolen’s armspan, at 6-foot-3¾ and 296 pounds, was measured at 78⅝ inches. Walker was the Butkus Award winner as the nation’s best linebacker this past season as he led the Bulldogs’ defense in tackles for loss (10.5) and sacks (6.5), with three of those sacks coming against Texas.

Rd 1 Pick 24: Minnesota Vikings: Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas

A former five-star recruit, Banks won the Outland and Lombardi Trophies and was a unanimous All-American.

Rd 1 Pick 25: Houston Texans: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

With Tank Dell rehabbing his injury, Houston lands his replacement in the former Missouri All-American. In 2023, Burden had 1,212 yards and nine touchdowns, and was seen as a potential top-five pick.

In 2024, the production declined, but Burden racked up 676 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

Rd 1 Pick 26: Los Angeles Rams: James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee

The Rams land an All-SEC pass rusher to pair with Jared Verse.

Rd 1 Pick 27: Baltimore Ravens: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

Baltimore wants to be strong up the middle, and the All-American from Ole Miss fits the bill. The 6-foot-3, 305-pound dynamo led the Ole Miss defense in 2024, logging 48 tackles (career-high), two pass deflections (career-high), one fumble recovery, and 6.5 sacks (career-high).

Rd 1 Pick 28: Detroit Lions: Grey Zabel, OL North Dakota State

Zabel is rising up draft boards and can flourish at three different positions.

Rd 1 Pick 29: Washington Commanders: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Jayden Daniels gets another weapon to pair with and study under Zach Ertz. The junior and projected first-round draft selection leaves Ann Arbor tied for second in receiving touchdowns (11), third in receptions (117), and third in receiving yards (1,466) among all tight ends in program history.

Rd 1 Pick 30: Buffalo Bills: Omarion Hampton, RB, UNC

James Cook wants to be paid like Saquon Barkley, and Buffalo could take steps to ensure an elite player in the position in case of a holdout. An already explosive offense gets even more firepower in the All-American from UNC. Hampton finished second in the country in rushing behind Ashton Jeanty with 1,660 yards in 12 games, with 15 touchdown runs. He set a new school single-season record with his 2,033 all-purpose yards, surpassing the previous 2,021 set by Don McCauley in 1970.

The junior has rushed for 3,565 career yards, ranking fourth all-time in school history. Mel Kiper Jr. ranked Hampton the No. 2 running back in the 2025 NFL draft.

Rd 1 Pick 31: Kansas City Chiefs: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

Last season, Harmon had 55 pressures. The next closest defensive tackle in this draft had 44. Harmon also leads the draft class with 43 Hurries and a pass rush win rate of 17.6%, which is 3rd in the draft class.

Rd 1 Pick 32: Philadelphia Eagles: Nic Scourton, Edge, Texas A&M

Scourton was one of the highest-rated transfers ahead of the 2024 season due to his combination of size and speed. Standing at 6-4, 280 pounds, he had 10 sacks and 50 tackles in his 2023 season at Purdue and finished his career at Texas A&M with five sacks, a forced fumble, 37 tackles, and two passes defended.

Round 2

Pick 33: Cleveland Browns: Josh Conerly Jr., OL, Oregon

In his three seasons at Oregon, Conerly Jr. played 41 games and was a two-year starter at left tackle. He played 1,881 snaps at left tackle in three seasons and had a 78.0 overall grade from PFF for the 2024 season.

Pick 34: New York Giants: Darius Alexander, DI, Toledo

A former teammate of Eagles star cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, Alexander is a prospect to watch.  In his five seasons at Toledo, Alexander played in 58 career games. During his collegiate career, he recorded 127 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, nine sacks, 13 passes defended, and one fumble recovery. Alexander had his best collegiate season in 2024, with career highs in tackles and tackles for loss. He also recorded one interception, earning third-team All-MAC honors in 2023 and first-team honors in 2024.

Pick 35: Tennessee Titans: Demetrius Knight Jr., LB, South Carolina

Pick 36: Jacksonville Jaguars: Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford

Pick 37: Las Vegas Raiders: T.J. Sanders, DT, South Carolina

Pick 38: New England Patriots: Tyler Booker, G, Alabama

Pick 39: Chicago Bears: Nick Emmanwori, DB, South Carolina

Pick 40: New Orleans Saints: Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State

The Ohio State pass rusher finished his college career with 136 tackles (28 for loss) and 11.5 sacks in 51 career games for the Buckeyes. He helped Ohio State win the National Championship last month.

Pick 41: Chicago Bears: Jack Bech, WR, TCU

Bech, a former tight end currently listed at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, is a unique prospect who works mostly out of the slot. In 2024, he amassed 64 catches for 1,042 yards and nine scores with just one drop.

Pick 42: New York Jets: Trey Amos, CB, Mississippi

Pick 43: San Francisco 49ers: Landon Jackson, Edge, Arkansas

Pick 44: Dallas Cowboys: Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame

In the National Championship game, Xavier Watts finished with eight tackles and a pass breakup. He has led college football in interceptions the past two seasons, and his ball skills make him a candidate who can make an immediate impact.

Pick 45: Indianapolis Colts: Princely Umanmielen, ED, Mississippi

The Ole Miss pass rusher has the length that NFL teams covet. The Florida transfer posted 10.5 sacks and a 20.5% pressure rate, which was first among college football players with at least 250 pass rush snaps last season, according to TruMedia.

Pick 46: Atlanta Falcons: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

Pick 47: Arizona Cardinals: Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina

Pick 48: Miami Dolphins: Bradyn Swinson, Edge, LSU

Pick 49: Cincinnati Bengals: JT Tuimoloau, Edge, Ohio State

Pick 50: Seattle Seahawks: Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

Pick: 51: Denver Broncos: Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State

Thomas is a smooth, fluid athlete who started all 12 games at cornerback and was second on the team with 52 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss and four pass breakups.  Thomas is an intriguing cornerback prospect from Florida State who combines impressive length and size with promising physical tools at 6’1″ and 191.

Pick 52: Seattle Seahawks: Kaleb Johnson, HB, Iowa

Pick 53: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA

Pick 54: Green Bay Packers: Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami (FL)

Pick 55: Los Angeles Chargers: Jack Sawyer, Edge, Ohio State

Pick 56: Buffalo Bills: Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State

Pick 57: Carolina Panthers: Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State

Pick 58: Houston Texans: Quinshon Judkins, HB, Ohio State

Pick 59: Baltimore Ravens: Jared Ivey, Edge, Mississippi

The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Ivey totaled 125 tackles, five pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and 16 sacks in three seasons with the Rebels.

Pick 60: Detroit Lions: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State

Pick 61: Miami Dolphins: Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami (FL)

A late bloomer at Miami, Arroyo entered 2024 with 11 receptions in three seasons, but after quarterback Cam Ward’s arrival the pass catcher blossomed. Arroyo averaged nearly 17 yards per catch in 2024, and is elite after the catch.

Pick 62: Buffalo Bills: Aireontae Ersery, OL, Minnesota

Aireontae Ersery was a three-year starter at Minnesota who played with strength and toughness in the running game. In pass protection, he has good footwork in his sets. He took 2,341 snaps at left tackle in Minnesota’s zone-based run scheme and finished with a 77.4 overall grade from PFF.

Pick 63: Kansas City Chiefs: Omarr Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee

Pick 64: Philadelphia Eagles: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU

Taylor, a tight end from LSU, could be a good fit for the Eagles after a strong performance in the Senior Bowl. Taylor is the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor.  Like Zach Ertz before him, Philadelphia needs a solid exit strategy for the oft-injured Dallas Goedert. During the Senior Bowl, the LSU tight end was dominant in one-on-one drills and proved a legitimate red zone target with his reach and ability to box out defenders.
