Bowman Megas are the highlight reel of Bowman. Megas distill the vast Bowman universe down to its most collectible components. You have a condensed checklist for both prospects and rookies and a significantly reduced auto checklist. The boxes have two special Bowman Mega packs, which contain cards that all have a “mojo” style pattern. Bowman Megas do contain other packs, but they only contain base cards with no chance at parallels or autos.
What Makes Bowman Megas Special?
When you open a Bowman Mega pack, you will be looking for low-numbered parallels, image variations, and autos. This year’s big chase in the 2025 Bowman Megas is the image variation autos. The IV auto checklist includes seven image variations of prospects (Slade Caldwell, Franklin Arias, Charlie Condon, Kevin McGonigle, PJ Morlando, Jesus Made, JJ Wetherholt) and five image variations of rookies (Jacob Wilson, Coby Mayo, Brooks Lee, Luisangel Acuña, Kumar Rocker). There is a slightly bigger non-auto image variation checklist included at the end of the checklist below.
Why Image Variation Autos Are the Big Chase in 2025
Image Variations (IVs) showcase different photography than a player’s standard card and, in the Mega format, come paired with hard-signed autos. They offer a new aesthetic and something that is not available in the regular Bowman. In some cases, these are the most visually appealing rookie/prospect autos of the year.
