Oklahoma quarterback recruit Bowe Bentley has been invited to the Elite 11 Finals.
Bentley, a four-star recruit from Celina, Texas, announced Oklahoma and LSU as his two finalists last week. He will be among 20 quarterbacks who were invited to participate in the event, which takes place from June 17-19. That comes after a visit with LSU to end the month of May followed by a an official visit to Norman over the weekend of June 6.
The Elite 11 event previously produced Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Tim Tebow, and others. Last year, 12 of the quarterbacks who participated ultimately ranked in the top 20 in On3’s recruiting rankings at the position.
Bentley led Celina to a Class 4A-Division 1 state championship last year, going 16-0. He is currently ranked as the No. 7 quarterback in the class, per 247Sports’ rankings. Four of the sixth quarterbacks ranked ahead of him will also participate in the Elite 11 finals.
Oklahoma coach Brent Venables re-configured his quarterback room in the offseason, signing one quarterback in the Class of 2025, three-star Jett Niu from Utah. Niu joins transfer Whitt Neubauer from Mercer and John Mateer from Washington State. Mateer was recently named one of the top three quarterbacks in the country by FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt.
