The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks have been playing each other at least two times per year since the Seahawks returned to the NFC West in the 2002 re-alignment, so it’s not a surprise that there’s some bad blood between the franchises.
While the division foes have already faced off twice this year, with each team winning a game apiece, they do battle again this weekend in the playoffs, with the winner moving on to the NFC championship.

Ahead of the divisional-round bout, Seahawks defensive lineman Jarran Reed told reporters how he really feels about the 49ers, and he didn’t hold back.
“For one, we get the team we don’t like,” Reed said. “Personally, I don’t like anything about them. We just get a chance to go at them again. We don’t do too much talking. We last our past talk. We know what’s at stake. They know what’s at stake. It’s about getting out there between those lines and hitting it head on, man-on-man, mano a mano. “
The feeling is likely mutual for several of Kyle Shanahan’s players, but the head coach related all of the talk to promos seen in the WWE.
“Yeah, I think that’s all like wrestling, I guess. Just fake entertainment,” Shanahan said. “If it distracts someone or gets them out of preparation or something or they lose their emotions during the game and they make things personal or something, then of course. But, I think everyone’s just having fun.”

The 49ers need to lock in and play the best that they possibly can if they want to upset the Seahawks at Lumen Field and move within a game of becoming the third team to play a Super Bowl at their home field.
