Gregorious is not retired from MLB, although he hasn’t played in the majors since 2022 with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Since then, he played in the Mexican League, in Triple-A, and was a draft pick of Baseball United by the Arabia Wolves.

Gregorious was born in the Netherlands and then grew up in Curacao.
Even being born in Curacao, which is part of The Kingdom of the Netherlands, would’ve been enough for eligibility for the WBC roster.
