Telugu film Irumudi collected Rs. 17.50 crore on its Day 2, after taking a phenomenal opening. Of these, Rs. 15 crore came alone from the Telugu markets. Additionally, the Ravi Teja starrer fetched around Rs. 4.50 crore from overseas, making its worldwide second day Rs. 22 crore.
The two-day worldwide gross collections of Irumudi reached Rs. 44.50 crore. The film is set to be a blockbuster. It grew on the second day in Telugu states, which is extremely rare for big films, but the first day was boosted by a holiday; the film recorded 80-90% occupancy and still managed an uptick in collections on Saturday.
The film has crossed USD 1M overseas, which is a first for Ravi Teja. It could go on to collect USD 2M even, depending on how it performs in the coming days. The reports for the film are on the positive side, so it should hold very well today and put up big opening-weekend numbers. The costs involved are very reasonable. With a strong hold and favourable reports, the film is going to be a handsome earner for all the stakeholders.
