* Excellent slasher and rim finisher with a 56.4 2P% and 64.0% scoring rate out of pick-and-roll sets.

* Advanced ball-handler with strong change-of-pace and control, especially in isolation (45.7% FG in P&R, 41.5% in ISO).

* Creates separation using elite burst and deceleration, especially in transition.

* Comfortable creating his own shot from all levels; elite in midrange and floaters.

* Very good free-throw shooter (85.1%) and draws contact effectively (high FT rate).

* Confident and acrobatic finisher – can score creatively around and through contact.

* Shows passing flashes in motion – solid assist rate despite turnover issues.

* High motor defender in passing lanes (1.6 steals/game); great anticipation and active hands.

* Young for his class (turns 19 in October), with clear long-term upside and room to develop.

* Three-point shooting is a work in progress (28.4% 3P on 3.9 attempts/game); takes tough pull-ups early in the clock.

* Struggles with decision-making—forces passes, leading to high turnover rates.

* Plays hero ball at times, leading to inefficient stretches; offensive impact metrics are mixed.

* Disappears off the ball—limited cutting, movement, and spacing awareness without it.

* Defense is inconsistent: good instincts but often loses focus off-ball and gets targeted.

* Thin frame at 182 lbs limits defensive versatility and finishing through bigger defenders.

* Relies on burst and creativity—lacks elite vertical explosiveness and strength.

* Fit-dependent: needs space and a system that allows him to dominate the ball.

An NBA scout on Jeremiah Fears: “He’s an interesting player in this year’s class. Not a three-point shooter at all, but he’s almost 50 percent at the rim, which is insane for a guard. I’ve heard Monte Ellis comps – tall scoring guard vibes who doesn’t shoot much from deep. He’s really good, though. A great facilitator, excellent at getting to the rim, and he’s effective at drawing fouls and converting free throws. The big issue is he just can’t shoot—he did drop 30 against Michigan and he absolutely cooked Louisville, so maybe it’s not always the case but he struggled against Oregon and didn’t show up against some other big teams.”
