In our latest edition of ‘mock draft roundup,’ who do the draft experts have the Indianapolis Colts selecting this time?
Spoiler alert, and I’m sure not to the surprise of anyone, there is one position, and two players who are dominating these mock drafts.
Tight end remains the most pressing need for the Colts. For one, more production from that unit is needed this season, but also, without Mo Alie-Cox and Kylen Granson, the current Colts’ tight end room is made up of Will Mallory, Drew Ogletree, Jelani Woods, and others.
But beyond tight end, don’t overlook GM Chris Ballard adding to the trenches in the first round either. There is still uncertainty along the offensive line without Will Fries at right guard, and the defensive front could benefit from added depth.
Also not to be forgotten about is the linebacker position, with the Colts needing to find a starter to line up next to Zaire Franklin. And considering that this year’s draft class isn’t all that deep at this position group, does that create added urgency to address the need sooner?
So with all of that in mind, let’s take a look at who the Colts are taking in the latest mock drafts.
