Jaguars pick OL, DT, DE, CB in The Athletic’s mock

Let’s break down the Jacksonville Jaguars four picks in the latest 3-round NFL mock draft from The Athletic.

Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic put together a three-round 2025 NFL mock draft recently. So who did the Jacksonville Jaguars end up selecting with their four picks?

Let’s break down each of the selections with our instant takeaways.

Jaguars pick at 5: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The Jaguars addressing the offensive line heavily in free agency still shouldn’t stop them from adding to that unit in the NFL draft. While those additions helped raise the floor, as Liam Coen mentioned recently, the Jaguars are also still in wait-and-see mode regarding what they really have up front.

“I think we got some good sound, solid players that are going to help elevate that floor,” Coen said. “But let’s go wait and see what it truly looks like when we actually go and compete and do things the way that we’re going to do them.”

Naturally, all of the focus on the outside will be on Trevor Lawrence and the passing game, but putting him in a position to be successful starts with having a stout offensive line that provides a run game to lean on and time in the pocket.

“Campbell’s arms are a bit short — if he wasn’t so good with his hands and feet, that might be an issue,” wrote Baumgardner. “But Campbell, one of the hardest workers in this draft class, is a terrific athlete. Like when the Chargers drafted Rashawn Slater, nobody should overthink this.”

Jaguars pick at 36: Walter Nolen, IDL, Ole Miss

In a deep defensive line class, the Jaguars do have the flexibility to look elsewhere initially while still giving themselves the opportunity to land a potential high-impact player on Day 2 of the draft.

Nolen finished the season with 35 pressures, including six sacks, and was one of the best run defenders in college football by PFF’s metrics–ranking second in run defense grade and third in run-stop rate.

Jaguars pick at 70: Oluwafemi Oladejo, DE, UCLA

The Jaguars are absolutely going to double-dip at the defensive line position in this year’s draft. The question is, how soon do they do it?

Oladejo has played just shy of 2,000 career snaps. The 2024 season was by far his most productive as a pass rusher, with him totaling 33 pressures and seven sacks. Over the last two seasons, he has steadily graded out as a strong run defender.

Jaguars pick at 88: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

This pick feels like a steal. There are a number of mocks out there where Amos is an early second-round pick. The Jaguars adding Jourdan Lewis to the cornerback position provides stability, but adding competition for Jarrian Jones for the starting outside role opposite of Tyson Campbell should be on the to-do list–not to mention that bolstering the depth overall is a need as well. This addition would check both of those boxes.

In 2024, Amos was dominant. He allowed a completion rate of just 52% on 62 targets and held opponents to 8.8 yards per catch. He also had terrific ball production with three interceptions and 10 pass breakups.
