The Steelers’ ‘Killer B’ era offensive coordinator recently weighed in on the 2025 quarterback debate between Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph.
Todd Haley, who served as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive coordinator from 2012 to 2017, gave a harsh truth regarding the team’s potential 2025 quarterback room—there’s Rodgers, then there’s everyone else.
Haley recently appeared on the Kaboly + Mack podcast to give his two cents on the Steelers’ projected QB room for 2025:
“When you don’t have a quarterback—again, we have the whole Aaron Rodgers elephant in the room. I understand that, which, to me, is the best short-term option available for the Steelers,” Haley said. “He’s the best answer, in my opinion, for right now.”
Contrary to what Rudolph’s supporters may believe, Rodgers gives the Pittsburgh Steelers the best chance to compete right now in 2025. Whether or not that’s worth the offseason drama he’s already brought to the Steel City is a conversation for another time, however.
