Manchester United will look to offload any players deemed surplus to requirements as swiftly as possible when the window opens.
To make things easier for them, some Reds will be looking to depart Old Trafford themselves in hopes of securing increased game time elsewhere.
That will indeed be the case for Altay Bayindir, who iNews claims is now ‘likely to leave’ at the end of the season – just two years after he signed in a £4.3 million transfer from Fenerbahce.
The shot-stopper is seemingly well aware that, despite being granted his first Premier League appearance over the weekend, he will not become Ruben Amorim’s first-choice between the sticks anytime soon, especially given how he fared in the 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United.
Reports have previously suggested Bayindir is adamant about playing a prominent role for his native Turkey at the World Cup next year – something which is near impossible to happen unless he can prove his abilities with regular starts.
He did prove his worth in one particular fixture, though, when he saved two Arsenal penalties in the third round of the FA Cup – being subsequently hailed for his ‘absolutely outstanding’ showing by Alan Shearer.

Pete Hall’s article also states that Andre Onana has essentially been placed ‘on trial’ by Amorim for the final fixtures of the season, with his United future now in ‘further doubt’ following a string of dismal performances – hence him being dropped in the aftermath of a woeful display against Olympique Lyonnais.
The £47m Cameroonian was pursued by Erik ten Hag in the same window Bayindir signed, with their drastically different transfer fees making it crystal clear from the get-go who would succeed David de Gea as the side’s No.1.
On Monday, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Onana had rebuffed interest from Saudi Pro League sides prior to his Old Trafford switch but he only had eyes for the 20-time champions, eventually putting pen to paper on a five-year deal.
