Lightweights Jared Gordon and Thiago Moises will meet for a solid lightweight matchup in May.
A fun lightweight matchup has been added to UFC Fight Night 256.
On May 17, Jared Gordon will take on Thiago Moises at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The event is headlined by Gilbert Burns vs. Michael Morales. MMA Junkie confirmed the booking with two sources. The promotion has not yet officially announced the bout.
Gordon (20-7 MMA, 8-6 UFC) will compete for the first time in nearly a year after a pair of opponents fell through in February. “Flash” will look to rebound from a split decision loss against Nasrat Haqparast last June, which followed a first-round finish of Mark Madsen in November 2023. The 30-year-old has traded wins and losses since 2022, with a no contest against King Green as well.
Moises (19-8 MMA, 8-6 UFC) enters his second fight of the calendar year, looking to make it two straight wins. In his first fight of 2025, Moises won a unanimous decision over Trey Ogden to return to the win column following a decision loss to Ludovit Klein last June. The 30-year-old Brazilian has traded wins and losses over his past five fights.
