The Denver Broncos have signed Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Xavier Truss as an undrafted free agent.
The 6-foot-7, 320-pound offensive lineman played both tackle and guard in college. Truss has excellent size and will look to make the Broncos’ roster as a reserve offensive lineman.
Xavier Truss, a versatile offensive lineman, signed with Georgia in 2019 and navigated a period of coaching changes, working under offensive line coaches Sam Pittman, Matt Luke, and Stacy Searels. His early career saw a redshirt in 2019 and limited action until the 2020 Peach Bowl against Cincinnati, where he started at left tackle amid team disruptions and faced a challenging performance, though Georgia secured a narrow victory.
In 2021, Truss appeared in all 15 games as a reserve, stepping up for significant snaps against Tennessee. He solidified a starting role in 2022, primarily at left guard, contributing to Georgia’s undefeated national championship season with 14 starts.
His adaptability became crucial in 2023, as he gained experience at every offensive line position except center. Starting at left guard, he shifted to right tackle due to injury and also saw starts at right guard and spot duty at left tackle.
This versatility continued in 2024, with significant time at right tackle and right guard, along with brief appearances at left guard and left tackle, demonstrating his value amid various offensive line injuries. He did not start at guard in 2024 partially because Georgia returned Tate Ratledge and Dylan Fairchild, who both went on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL draft.
