Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard suffered an injury during a playoff game against the Indiana Pacers and the results are potentially devastating.
Lillard, 34, recently returned to action for the Bucks after missing time due to a blood clot discovered in his right calf. While the nine-time All-Star missed several games to end the regular-season starting in March and then the first game of the postseason, his health allowed him to come back for the opening round of the playoffs against the Pacers.
After playing two healthy games, including a win against the rival Indiana, the veteran went down with an injury in Game 4. It was a devastating blow to Lillard, to Milwaukee, and to basketball fans at large.
Following the injury, which reports suggests is potentially a torn Achilles, one photo captured Lillard sitting on the court just simply absorbing the gravity of the moment.
While he was obviously in a lot of pain, he took the time to take it all in and look at his surroundings.
For his sake and for the fans, we hope that whatever injury Lillard actually suffered, he is able to come back healthy and fully recovered as soon as possible.
