What we do 🪵
Our mission is to empower building materials suppliers with great technology. There are over $1,000,000,000,000 of building materials bought in the US every year, and many of these transactions happen in on-prem point-of-sale systems. We want to bring these transactions online, enabling better experiences for contractors and homeowners alike.
Payment Reconciliation:

Match payments from clients and internal teams across Brex, Rillet, Amazon, and bank accounts. 🔁

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in real-time.

Maintain clean and updated records of all incoming and outgoing transactions.

Coordinate with the Finance Lead to pause and resume buyouts.
Budget Monitoring & Spend Analysis

Flag anomalies in employee spending

Ensure employees and departments stay within budget

Trace and report spending by department with a high level of accuracy
Reporting:

Prepare and send weekly financial reports to leadership. 📊

Support monthly close processes with accurate reconciliations and summaries.

Help generate audit-ready documentation as needed.
Software and Tool Management:

Utilize Brex and Rillet to manage daily financial operations.

Leverage advanced Google Sheets formulas to organize, calculate, and audit data. 📑

Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all financial systems
Qualifications:
-
2+ years experience in a bookkeeping or finance role.
-
Certification in Bookkeeping required.
-
CPA is a plus but not required.
Skills:

Google Sheets Expertise: Must be comfortable building and debugging formulas. 📐

Financial Accuracy: High attention to detail in categorization and reconciliation.

Communication: Clear and responsive with clients and internal teams. 🗣️

Organization: Ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines.

Tech-Friendly: Comfortable using finance tools like Rillet, Brex, and QuickBooks. 🧰
Schedule:

Tuesdays to Saturdays, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Philippine Time.

Must be available for occasional calls with U.S.-based clients during evening hours.

10 minute calls to follow up with clients with outstanding AR.

Compensation and Benefits

💰 Compensation: $700/month

📝 Independent Contractor: You’ll be responsible for your own tax filings (BIR registered).

Interview Process 📝

Homework Assignment (2 hours): Short bookkeeping task sent post-call.

On-Site Culture Interview (1 hour): In-person meeting focused on fit and growth.
