A quick look at the role
The Senior Project Manager will lead on key business projects and is accountable for management of the project team. Your responsibilities will include key document implementation, completing monthly progress reports, integrated budget, resource plan, benefits documentation and risks & issues reporting. You will also be responsible for utilising the framework to govern projects from initial definition (identification, objectives, scope etc.), assessment and development, through to its successful delivery.

Your core responsibilities
- Oversee key projects/programmes within the Biffa group from scoping to delivery and benefits realization.
- Develop, manage and track project plans (high level, milestone, detailed & integrated).
- Manage the prioritization, scoring and allocation of projects to the team.
- Manage a team of project managers within their own projects and help further embed project methodology.
- Support the FBP to define, gain approval of, and manage projects budget.
- Understand and apply different project methodologies.
- Engage with the senior management, group function teams and the senior leaders to enhance relationships.
- Formally report on project progress, risks, dependencies and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Provide development and training to project managers.
- Confidently present across the business to further sell the benefits of the project team.

Our essential requirements
- Qualified Prince 2 Practitioner
- Experience leading similar projects (size, complexity, timescales).
- Experience working as part of a senior, integrated management team, reporting to the executive.
- Previous line management or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of project methodologies and governance frameworks
