Jets force Game 7 overtime against Blues on thrilling last-second goal

There’s nothing like the thrill of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Winnipeg Jets showed us yet another example of that on Sunday night.

A mere day after the Dallas Stars’ incredible Game 7 finish to knock out the Colorado Avalanche, the Jets battled back from a two-goal deficit in the final two minutes of the third period of their own Game 7 against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday. The Blues held a 3-1 lead going into the last few minutes of the third when the Jets pulled goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. The Jets scored to cut the lead to one with a little under two minutes remaining, but were able to fully complete the comeback as the final seconds were ticking off the clock.

It seemed as if the Jets weren’t going to be able to get the puck on net in the final few seconds, but a great final chance saw Winnipeg swiftly move the puck around before Cole Perfetti got a stick on a shot to deflect it into the net with 1.6 seconds remaining!

From nearly bowing out of the playoffs entirely to forcing a Game 7 overtime. What a thrilling sequence of events!
