Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Tyus Bowser withdrew a $4.5 million grievance against the team over how it handled a 2023 knee injury
There are still talented free agents on the open market, and the Ravens just gained $1.8 million in salary cap space thanks to former Linebacker Tyus Bowser.
Now with the Dolphins, Bowser withdrew his $4.5 million grievance over the team’s handling of his injury during the 2023 season. Bowser, 29, spent the entire 2023 season on the reserve/non-football injury list after suffering a knee injury during the summer and didn’t get paid.
Bowser filed his grievance against the Ravens in October, alleging that team doctors mishandled his injury.
The Ravens released Bowser last March, freeing up $5.5 million in salary cap space. Bowser had been up and down since being drafted by Baltimore in the 2nd round back in 2017.
During his first four seasons, he never started more than two games. Then, in 2021, he started all 17 games and set career highs in sacks (7), solo tackles (33), and QB hits (15). After signing a four-year, $22 million extension, Bowser has played nine games since.
After working out for the Cowboys and Titans, Bowser joined the Seahawks practice squad on August 30, where he spent five weeks before joining the Dolphins’ active roster.
