The Carolina Panthers parted ways with another pass rusher on Friday.
As announced this afternoon, the team has waived second-year outside linebacker Kenny Dyson Jr. The 23-year-old defender is now the second edge defender to be let go by the Panthers in as many days—joining former No. 1 overall pick and three-time Pro Bowler Jadeveon Clowney.
Dyson, a Stamford, Conn. native, played his collegiate ball at Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I. from 2019 to 2023. He appeared in 44 games for the Bulldogs over his five-year stay—which resulted in a second-team All-NEC selection (2021), a first-team All-Big South selection (2022) and a first-team All-Big South-OVC selection (2023).
After going undrafted in 2024, Dyson signed on with the Panthers as a free agent last spring. He went on to appear in two games as a rookie—totaling two combined tackles and a quarterback hit.
