Ethan Hedges has boosted his stock value in a big way this season.
It has been a heck of a season for USC baseball’s Ethan Hedges. Hedges has been raking at the plate, leading the team in batting average, OPS, hits, home runs, and RBIs. In addition to serving as the team’s everyday third baseman, Hedges also pitches as the Trojans’ primary closer, currently holding a 2.77 ERA with nine saves.
Earlier this week, D1Baseball released a list of their top third basemen in the country. Hedges came in at No. 2 in the rankings, behind only Kerrington Cross of Cincinnati.
Hedges has been not just one of the top third basemen, but one of the best players in the country this season. With him leading the way, the Trojans are making a strong push for their first NCAA Tournament bid in 10 years.
This weekend, USC wraps up its regular season with a three-game series at Washington. After dropping the opener Thursday night, the Trojans will look to bounce back on Friday and Saturday.
