Michigan State baseball welcomed in Minnesota for their 2025 regular season finale, and the game held a ton of stakes for the Spartans, who needed a win to keep their Big Ten Tournament hopes alive. The Spartans delivered the much needed victory in dramatic fashion.
It was junior infielder Randy Seymour that proved to be the hero for the Spartans, who knocked a bases loaded single with one out in the ninth to walk-off the Golden Gophers in an 11-10 win.
The Spartans led virtually the whole game, and got up by as many four multiple times, but ultimately blew the the lead. In a tie game in the top of the ninth, Minnesota homered, taking a 10-9 lead, the Spartans had to rally.
A rally is what they did, and the Spartans were paid off by Seymour, who scored Parker Picot for the game winning run. This followed Jacob Anderson’s single, scoring the rally starter in Noah Bright, and tying the game.
