Summary 

MasterControl’s User Experience team is seeking a Sr. Product Designer to help shape the next generation of MasterControl AI-enhanced products and experiences. We are looking for proven design leaders that are passionate about understanding user needs and crafting exceptional products.

You’re an expert at your craft, from discovery to delivery, and have the portfolio and results to prove it.

Key Job Responsibilities 

  • Translate business and user needs and technology constraints into solutions that are meaningful, easy to use, and engaging. 
  • Facilitate workshops to answer critical business questions through design thinking, rapid prototyping, and testing ideas with customers. 
  • Lead and support discovery of the project lifecycle, including workshops, user and stakeholder interviews, analytics, audits and benchmarking. 
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative research to generate meaningful insights that will drive creative concepts. 
  • Design journey maps, navigation design, sitemaps, information architecture, wireframes, storyboards and prototypes. 
  • Design intuitive, adaptive experiences that leverage AI to augment workflows, simplify complex tasks, and provide proactive insights to users. 
  • Bring complex data products to life through maps, dashboards, and infographics. 
  • Define reporting and measurement metrics focused on project and usability goals. 
  • Lead the evolution and refinement of our design system, ensuring visual cohesion and engineering efficiency across all user touchpoints. 
  • Help build out design processes, tools, and culture. 
  • Provide meaningful critique and mentoring to junior designers. 

Basic Qualifications 

  • 5+ years as a UX, UI, IxD or Product designer 
  • An available online portfolio 
  • Experience contributing to or creating a design system 
  • Experience designing and shipping products on mobile and desktop 
  • Expertise with Figma 
  • Experience with prototyping software 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • The ability to present design ideas with clarity and passion, and to receive feedback with open-mindedness. 
  • Experience designing document control/document management solutions. 
  • Familiarity with designing AI-assisted workflows, including prompt-based experiences, intelligent automation, or agent-driven interactions. 
  • Experience designing for the Life Sciences. 
  • Expert communication skills and the ability to get buy-in on ideas within a large organization. 
  • A high degree of creativity, empathy, passion, and problem-solving ability. 
  • Expert in all areas of user experience design (information architecture, interaction design, visual design, content strategy, user research). 
  • In-depth knowledge of market research, competitive landscape, and testing methods (A/B, multivariate testing). 
  • Degree in design-related field or equivalent experience. 
  • An online portfolio with case studies highlighting SaaS or enterprise software design, UX research, analytical decision-making, and strategic thinking.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 – $180,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
