Michigan State football is one of the latest programs to extend an offer to an elite edge rusher in the 2027 class.
Frederick Ards of Orlando, Fla. announced earlier this week that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. Ards posted on his social media X account to announce the offer from Michigan State.
Ards is listed as a four star prospect with a recruiting rating of 93.71 in 247Sports’ composite system. He is ranked as the No. 18 edge rusher and No. 11 player from the talent rich state of Florida. He is also ranked as the No. 153 overall prospect in the 2027 class.
Michigan State is one of more than 20 schools to extend an offer to Ards, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Arkansas, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Purdue, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, FIU, Marshall and UMass.
