Expect a pair of signings before the start of OTAs on Wednesday after the holiday weekend.
The Arizona Cardinals made a pair of roster moves on Thursday, neither of which they announced. They appeared on the NFL transaction report. One was playing cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting on the non-football injury reserve, ending his 2025 season months before it begins. This move we already covered.
The other was a simple release from the offseason roster.
Defensive lineman Ben Stille was placed on waivers.
The Cardinals now have two vacancies on their roster as they prepare to begin OTAs (voluntary organized team activities) next week.
Over the last two seasons, Stille bounced between the practice squad and the active roster, appearing in eight games and logging three tackles, a sack, a tipped pass and a fumble recovery. He played 240 total snaps in those eight games.
The defensive line room is quite full with additions in free agency and the NFL draft.
If he goes unclaimed on waivers, he will be an unrestricted free agent, free to sign with any team.
With the two roster vacancies, we can expect a pair of signings before now and the start of OTAs on Wednesday after the holiday weekend.
