Would the Boston Celtics have beaten the Indiana Pacers if they made the 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Finals? The Celtics, of course, did not, falling in six games to the New York Knicks in the ’25 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals second round. But Boston was a good matchup for the Pacers last season until the bottom fell out for Indy when point guard Tyrese Haliburton hurt his hamstring against the Celtics.
This iteration of Indiana is a better roster, and the Celtics were banged up even before the Jayson Tatum Achilles tendon injury. Would it have been a closer series this time around? Would the Pacers have won?
