Bengals reveal scouting department hires after key departure

The Cincinnati Bengals have undergone some major changes to the scouting department this offseason.

First, the Bengals lost scout Christian Sarkisian to Northwestern. At the same time, a report said they hired Trey LaBounty as a scouting research analyst.

Monday, the Bengals confirmed that news, plus announced the hirings of scouts Josh Hinch and Tyler Ramsey.

Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin continues to focus on a college-pro balance with his hires.

“They have the background in both pro and college scouting, which will benefit us,” Tobin said, per the release. “We like our guys to have versatility, and these guys can give us input in a lot of different areas. They’re bright with experience and have done a lot in their careers to this point.”

The Bengals don’t often need to re-shuffle the names on the scouting side given the smaller, familial scale of things. Similar to Zac Taylor’s coaching staff this offseason, though, events forced their proverbial hands into movement here.
