The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to add to their defensive end depth, reportedly signing Dennis Gardeck
The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to add to their defensive end depth, reportedly signing Dennis Gardeck, according to Jordan Schultz.
Gardeck went undrafted in 2018 out of Sioux Falls and has spent his entire career up to this point with the Arizona Cardinals. During that span, he has appeared in 96 games and made 17 starts, logging 17.0 total sacks.
Gardeck’s most productive season came in 2023, when he played over 500 snaps on defense and totaled 42 pressures. In the 2024 and 2022 seasons, he played 206 and 210 snaps on defense, respectively.
Along with his contributions on defense, Gardeck has been a core special teams contributor as well for much of his career with Arizona, often playing on five of the six phases.
Gardeck reunites with Derrick LeBlanc, who is the Jaguars’ current assistant defensive line coach, but was previously the defensive line coach in Arizona for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
The addition of Gardeck comes on the heels of the Jaguars also reuniting with Dawuane Smoot as the team continues to add competition on the depth chart at defensive end behind Josh Hines-Allen, Travon Walker, and Emmanuel Ogbah.
