Ranking 3 potential late-wave additions at CB

The Seattle Seahawks are still expected to sign a veteran cornerback before training camp begins. With mandatory minicamp on the horizon, general manager John Schneider could ramp up his interest in a cover-man. The Green Bay Packers released Pro Bowl corner Jaire Alexander from his contract, potentially adding another name to Schneider’s list.

With Rasul Douglas and Shaquill Griffin still lurking as options, we’ve ranked these three cornerbacks from most to least desirable for Seattle.

Rasul Douglas

The Seahawks hosted Rasul Douglas on a free-agent visit earlier this offseason. Douglas’ aggressive mindset and veteran experience would make him a terrific fit in Macdonald’s defense. He should be Schneider’s primary target at the position.

Shaquill Griffin

Griffin arguably played the best football of his career with the Seahawks from 2017-2020. The former UCF standout has struggled to replicate that form since, but a reunion could make sense given the familiar surroundings. Griffin played in all 17 games for the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, snagging two interceptions and recording 41 total tackles.

Jaire Alexander

Alexander doesn’t qualify as a realistic target for the Seahawks. He’s already reportedly garnered interest from flashier potential destinations such as the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens. The Seahawks are simply looking for depth behind Riq Woolen, Josh Jobe, and Devon Witherspoon. Alexander wants to be a starter.
