Femi Oladejo tabbed Titans’ best schematic fit from 2025 draft class

The Tennessee Titans entered the offseason looking to improve the edge on defense and have rebuilt the roster at the position.

After making some moves during free agency, they decided to use a premium pick to add to the unit. In the second round of the 2025 NFL draft, the Titans selected edge Oluwafemi “Femi” Oladejo out of UCLA.

High on traits but low on experience, Oladejo was a late riser during the pre-draft process.

Now in Nashville, he might have fallen into the perfect situation. That is exactly what Rob Rang of FOX Sports believes about his fit within the Titans’ defensive structure.

Tennessee Titans: Oluwafemi “Femi” Oladejo, Edge, UCLA (No. 52 overall)

Needless to say, top overall pick Cam Ward is the guy, but Titans fans should be very excited about Oladejo, as well. Like Ward, Oladejo is an ascending player who, based on reports out of OTAs, is already earning first-team reps.

Head coach Brian Callahan did discuss increasing the reps for the younger guys to help speed up their development, so taking first-team reps could be an anomaly. But defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson did say they were throwing everything at the young player during media sessions and that he was excited about what he saw.

However, if this report on him receiving first-team reps is accurate and he has earned them, this could be huge for the Titans’ defense in 2025. There is no denying Oladejo’s infectious demeanor and elite traits. Still, he was undeveloped as an edge player with only one season at the position, and many scouts thought he would need some seasoning before hitting his stride. This will be something to keep an eye on once training camp arrives.

Tennessee needs a more effective pass rush this season, and Oladejo could help make that happen.
