It appears that some dominoes are about to start falling in the wide receiver recruiting world, and the Oregon Ducks may stand to benefit.
Earlier on Wednesday, we wrote about how a prediction for the USC Trojans to land 4-star WR Ethan ‘Boobie’ Feaster could impact other teams in the nation, particularly the Oregon Ducks. With USC landing Feaster, it would potentially take them out of the running for 4-star WR Jalen Lott, helping to clear the way for the Ducks in his recruitment.
Our thinking may not have been too far off, considering a pair of recruiting predictions came out for Lott to commit to Oregon on Wednesday afternoon, from On3’s Sam Spiegelman and Josh McCuistion.
The Ducks are now considered a decent favorite to land Lott, who is rated by On3 as the No. 54 player and No. 2 ATH in the 2026 class. Oregon currently has a 63.6% chance to land Lott, according to On3’s RPM, while Texas is in second place at 25.1%, and USC is at 8.0%.
247Sports has Lott rated as the No. 61 player and No. 6 ATH in the 2026 class.
Lott is scheduled to announce his commitment on Monday, July 8. If the Ducks do lead in his recruitment, they will need to hold on over the next few days and try to add him to what is now a top-15 ranked 2026 class.
