EWC 2025 Day 4 Recap: Dota 2 Knockouts, VALORANT Semis & Champions Begin to Emerge

In Dota 2, elimination bracket drama took centre stage.

Xtreme Gaming opened the day by sweeping Execration 2–0, knocking out the last SEA representative. Team Yandex then pulled off one of the biggest surprises so far, taking down Shopify Rebellion 2–0.

Talon Esports kept their hopes alive with a clean win over HEROIC, and local favourites Team Falcons rounded things out by comfortably eliminating Virtus.pro.

These four now move forward to face the group runners-up: PARIVISION, Tundra, Gaimin Gladiators, and NaVi.

VALORANT fans were treated to two semi-final thrillers.

Fnatic overcame Paper Rex in a tense 2–1 series. After dropping the first map, they stormed back with a 13–3 win on Ascent and closed it out 13–8 on Split.

Meanwhile, Team Heretics and Gen.G Esports battled it out in another close three-map series. Heretics took Ascent, lost Haven, but held their nerve on Lotus in overtime (16–14) to secure their place in the final. Fnatic vs Heretics is now the last match standing, while PRX and Gen.G will compete for third place.

In Apex Legends, the ALGS Midseason Playoffs Last Chance Qualifier wrapped up, finalising the 20-team lineup for Sunday’s Grand Final.

Fourteen teams, including India’s S8UL Esports, had already qualified. Six more earned their place through tight lobbies and high-pressure rounds. TSM, Team Falcons, and 100 Thieves survived the cut, and all eyes now turn to the Grand Final with $2 million on the line.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang closed out Wild Card action. Virtus.pro, Rare Atom, The MongolZ, and ZETA Division advanced, with the latter eliminating hometown Team Falcons. These four will now face off for a single spot in the main MSC tournament.

Overall, Day 4 of EWC 2025 was jam-packed and the stage is now set for an epic Sunday, with multiple titles heading into their finals or late playoff stages.
