Notre Dame commit Grayson McKeogh is now a top-15 prospect with Rivals

If you haven’t noticed, Notre Dame football does not recruit off of rankings, and it has paid off big time with the commitment of Pennsylvania offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh.

The 6-foot, 7-inch and 275-pound tackle picked the Irish over offers from Penn State, Alabama and others was given a huge boost in Rivals updated 2026 rankings. McKeogh rose from No. 181 all the way to No. 13 overall, making him a high 4-star prospect. He’s on the cusp of getting his 5th-star as well, and that could happen with an impressive senior season.

While it’s exciting to see McKeogh make such a big jump, it just solidifies that Notre Dame made the right decision going hard after him. There aren’t many schools across the country that do as good of a job as the Irish do identifying elite offensive line talent, as there have been many that were not as highly ranked making immediate impacts. A few names quickly jump off the page such as Joe Alt and Anthonie Knapp, great examples of impeccable scouting and disregard for recruiting rankings.

Notre Dame has another elite offensive tackle heading to the program with the addition of McKeogh.
