After being heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, Morgan Gibbs-White is set to stay at Nottingham Forest after signing a new contract that runs until 2028.
“The support from the fans, my team-mates, and everyone around the club has been unbelievable.
“I believe in what we are building here – and with the backing of Mr Marinakis and the enormous ambition he has, I want to be part of making something special. I am excited for what is to come.”
As Forest jetted off to Portugal to continue their pre-season, Gibbs-White initially did not join the squad, before flying out later in the week and playing in the second half of their Saturday night friendly with Fulham.
Forest published pictures of Gibbs-White in team kit with Marinakis at the Estadio de Sao Luis, where they played Fulham, as part of the contract announcement.

Gibbs-White looked set to be the fifth senior player signed by Tottenham this transfer window and would have pushed their total spend to almost £200m with Joao Palhinha also a target.
However, Gibbs-White has now committed his future to Forest – and manager Nuno Espirito Santo can now prepare for a European campaign with the England international in his plans.
“Morgan is a special player – not just in terms of talent, but character and mentality,” Marinakis said. “He represents everything we want this football club to be: he is a winner, talented, ambitious, fearless, and proud.
