Saturday at EWC: AG.AL Triumph, CoD Final Four Set, MLBB & PUBG Heat Up

The BO6 bracket advanced through the quarter-finals on Saturday, with all four top seeds progressing. OpTic Gaming and Team Heretics each posted 3–1 wins, taking down 100 Thieves and Boston Breach, respectively. KOI and Vancouver Surge both swept their opponents to secure the other two semi-final spots. With defending champions FaZe Clan already eliminated, EWC 2025 will crown a new CoD champion on Sunday, as OpTic meets Heretics and KOI takes on Surge in a battle of powerhouse lineups.

AG.AL (All Gamers) captured the Honor of Kings World Cup in spectacular fashion, defeating TT Global 4–3 in a dramatic Grand Final. The Chinese powerhouse rallied after trailing early in the series, securing victory in Game 7 to take home the $1 million top prize. Their performance not only extends China’s dominance in mobile esports at EWC 2025 but also delivers a massive boost in Club Championship points, pushing AG.AL into serious contention for the overall crown.

The MLBB Mid-Season Cup group stage continued with decisive matches in Group B. Team Spirit, riding momentum from their Dota 2 title, swept Malaysia’s HomeBois 2–0 to clinch a playoff spot. RRQ Hoshi followed suit, edging Aurora Turkiye 2–1 to also qualify. In elimination matches, ONIC PH and Team Flash stayed alive, knocking out Area 77 and DianFengYaoGuai. With final group matches ahead, the Top 8 knockout bracket is nearly set.

Day 2 of the PUBG Mobile World Cup kept the leaderboard moving. Thailand’s 4Thrives Esports maintained their top position with 111 points after 12 matches, while South Korea’s DRX (89) and Team Secret (86) followed close behind.
