Cowboys Andrew Booth returns a Cooper Rush pick-six 40 yards for TD

Cooper Rush telegraphed a pass to LaJohntay Wester, and it was picked by Andrew Booth and returned for 6 the other way

Back in March, the Ravens signed Cooper Rush to a two-year deal to leave Dallas and become the backup quarterback for MVP candidate Lamar Jackson. Rush, one of the best backups in the NFL over the past five years, had a disastrous opening game for Baltimore, and the mistakes continued in his return to Dallas.

A telegraphed pass attempt to LaJohntay Wester turned into a 40-yard pick-six for Andrew Booth.

The 31-year-old Rush appeared in 38 games with a 9-5 record in 14 starts since he joined the Cowboys as an undrafted rookie in 2017. For his career, Rush has completed 330 of 554 passes (60.7%) for 3,463 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Last season, Rush started eight games for the Cowboys after Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending hamstring injury. Dallas went 4-4 during Rush’s starts, and he ended the season completing 187 of 308 passes (60.7%) for 1,844 yards and 12 touchdowns with five interceptions.
