Former Tennessee wide receiver scores touchdowns for New York

New York defeated New England, 42-10, Thursday in NFL preseason Week 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Former Vol Jalin Hyatt totaled three receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown.

He played wide receiver at Tennessee from 2020-22, recording 108 receptions, 1,769 receiving yards, 19 receiving touchdowns and averaged 16.4 yards per reception.

Hyatt became the first player in program history to win the Biletnikoff Award. He was a 2022 consensus first-team All-American and a first-team All-SEC selection.

Hyatt holds single-game records for touchdown receptions and points scored after his five-touchdown performance against Alabama in 2022.

He was was a third-round selection by the Giants in the 2023 NFL draft (No. 73 overall).

New York will next play on Sept. 7 at Washington in the regular-season opener for both teams. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. EDT at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.
