Grayson star out for season

North Carolina 4-star quarterback commit Travis Burgess will miss the rest of his senior high school season after suffering an injury in his team’s game last week, according to a social media post.

Burgess plays for Grayson (Ga.), which won the Class  6A state title last year and is currently ranked No. 6 in the USA TODAY Sports Super 25 football rankings, after finishing No. 8 in last year’s final poll with a 14-1 record.

Grayson is 2-0 this season.

Burgess is the No. 7 quarterback in the 2025 class, according to 247 sports, and the 65th overall recruit.

At 6-foot-5, 205 pounds he has good size for a quarterback. He threw for 2,255 yards last year with 23 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He also rushed for 596 yards and four touchdowns on 58 carries.
