Speaking to reporters in São Paulo, Brazil ahead of Friday’s opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, Kelce said that he while he’s been thrust into a different media world due to his relationship with Swift he’s not bothered by it all.
“I got one more ring from it,” Kelce said of his recent engagement. “I would say ever since I’ve been dating Taylor, life has been fun. It’s been exciting. Obviously, a lot more eyes [on me]. I accept that. I’m living life on a high, I guess.”
Kelce will turn 36 in October and is entering his 13th NFL season. Speculation about his future has been ongoing for several seasons with the Chiefs tight end expanding his horizons with the podcast he does his brother Jason, as well as several acting gigs.

After contemplating retirement following the 2024 season, Kelce decided to return for the final year of his contract.
Kelce had his seventh straight season with at least 90 receptions in 2024, but recorded his lowest total receiving yards (823) since 2014 and his fewest touchdowns (3) for a full season. He had four receptions for 39 yards on six targets against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX and said his play in the game was “probably the biggest factor” in his decision to return.
Beyond the 2025 season, Kelce’s not ready to say what his future plans are.
“Man, it’s the last one on the contract right now, but I’ll tell you what, I’m feeling young and I’m feeling ready to rock, baby,” Kelce said.
