The spirit and memory of late Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant continues to live on throughout the Southland more than five years after his tragic death in a helicopter crash. Numerous murals depicting him have gone up across the greater Los Angeles area over the last few years, and more are sure to be created.
Today, Luka Doncic has taken the Purple and Gold that Bryant once held so well. Doncic is just 26 years of age, and many feel he has some of the same killer instinct and “Mamba mentality” that the legendary guard boasted.
A new mural depicting Bryant, his late daughter Gianna and Doncic has been created in Burbank.
Kobe and Gianna Bryant, as well as seven others, were killed in that helicopter crash in Calabasas, roughly 30 minutes outside of downtown Los Angeles. The younger Bryant was a budding basketball star, and she was expected to eventually play at the University of Connecticut and possibly even make it to the WNBA.
For those who are interested in this new mural, it is located outside of The Morrison restaurant, which is at 3821 W Magnolia Boulevard.
