Ohio State football, Ryan Day offer BGA’s Ayden Woodruff

The defending College Football Playoffs national champion, Ohio State, has set its sights on one of the Nashville area’s top recruits.

BGA defensive lineman Ayden Woodruff has received an offer from coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes, Woodruff announced on his X account, Sept. 19.

Woodruff is a four-star recruit in the Class of 2028, ranked No. 3 in Tennessee and No. 14 among defensive lineman nationally, according to 247Sports Composite. Woodruff also holds offers from Tennessee, Alabama, Michigan, Vanderbilt and more.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound lineman was the Nashville area’s No. 2-ranked defensive lineman entering the season after he recorded one sack, four TFLs and 18 tackles as a freshman. Woodruff has continued the momentum into his sophomore season, up to 11 tackles, six TFLs and a sack as BGA is 4-0.
