A look at the top 5 performances from the past two weeks of the high school volleyball season:

Sydney Repinski, Winona Cotter

The sophomore defensive specialist/libero has been an asset to Winona Cotter all season, especially as of late when she recorded an area-high 28 kills in single match against Caledonia on Sept. 16. The Ramblers, who are 9-3 overall and 6-2 in Section 1-2A, fell 19-25, 23-25, 25-21, 20-25 to the Warriors in a competitive four sets.

Kinley Soiney, Mabel-Canton

The 5-foot-11 senior middle hitter is proving why she’s a two-time All-State selection for the Cougars, tallying 35 total kills across two matches. Soiney had 23 kills in a 3-2 win over Spring Grove on Sept. 16 and 12 kills in a sweep of Schaeffer Academy on Sept. 11.

Rein is just an eighth grader, but she has stepped up to fill some big shoes at Mabel-Canton’s setter position. She notched an area-high 44 assists in a single match in M-C’s win over Spring Grove. Rein has put up big numbers all year for the Cougars, who are 16-1 overall and 6-0 in section and conference action.

Adrianna Ball, St. Charles

The 6-foot-0 junior middle/right side hitter has been phenomenal at the net in the past couple of weeks with 19 total blocks for St. Charles in two matches, including 11 in a 3-0 win over Lourdes on Sept. 11.

The senior libero/defensive specialist recently recorded an area-high single-match 42 digs for the Hurricanes against Lanesboro on Sept. 16. The Hurricanes won in five sets, 18-25, 25-22, 9-25, 25-23, 15-13.
