Colts’ DT DeForest Buckner is questionable but one NFL insider has revealed his game day status vs. the Rams.
Indianapolis Colts’ defensive tackle DeForest Buckner is “ready to go” for the team’s Week 4 matchup with the LA Rams, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Buckner would play 40 snaps in last week’s win over Tennessee, but popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with a back issue.
He did not practice on Wednesday or Friday and was limited on Thursday. On the Colts’ final injury report, Buckner was listed as questionable.
Even with the questionable designation, the expectation seemed to be that Buckner was going to play. The reason? Well, he said so on Thursday.
Buckner has navigated a back injury previously, and he also mentioned that he and the training staff have a plan in place for how to handle the injury this season.
In three games this season, Buckner has generated seven pressures and seven run-stops as well, according to PFF.
While Buckner will play, the Colts have already ruled out Kenny Moore, Alec Pierce, and Matt Goncalves for this week’s game.
