BUT – there could soon be a problem.
According to the ‘Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung’, VfL Wolfsburg is courting Stuttgart’s sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth.
The report states that the Wolves are planning to bring the 46-year-old to Wolfsburg as early as January. Whether Wohlgemuth is even interested is not clear from the report.
After their recent 2-1 defeat to Werder, VfL dismissed their Paul Simonis and is now apparently considering restructuring the sporting management. According to the report, in addition to Wohlgemuth, former Wolfsburg player and current Leipzig boss Marcel Schäfer is also being considered as a candidate.
