The Pittsburgh Steelers safety room got some great news ahead of their Week 11 matchup vs. the Cincinnati Bengals — as an underrated defensive contributor who’s been dealing with a quad injury returned to practice.
On Wednesday’s injury report, Jabrill Peppers, who missed the past two games, was listed as a full participant to start the week — a much-needed return for a Steelers secondary dealing with depth issues.
Following his release from the Patriots, Peppers signed with Pittsburgh on a one-year deal — performing admirably against his former New England squad in Week 3 but hasn’t played much on defense since.
A few weeks ago, the Steelers acquired Peppers’ former teammate — ex-Patriots safety Kyle Dugger — who’s expected to continue serving as Pittsburgh’s starting safety opposite veteran Jalen Ramsey.
