NFL playoff picture, Week 12: Steelers take on AFC East powerhouse in Wild Card matchup

The NFL playoff picture is beginning to take shape as we enter Week 12 of the 2025 regular season, with the Pittsburgh Steelers set to host one of the fiercest wild card teams imaginable.

In a classic “if the season ended today” scenario, the No. 4 seed Steelers would host the No. 5 seed Buffalo Bills in Pittsburgh — a potential rematch following their soon-to-be decided Week 13 meeting.

For the AFC, the No. 2 seed New England Patriots would host the No. 7 seed Jacksonville Jaguars, the No. 3 seed Indianapolis Colts would host the No. 6 seed Los Angeles Chargers, and the No. 1 seed Denver Broncos would get a first-round bye in the AFC playoff picture.

In the NFC, the No. 2 seed Los Angeles Rams would host the No. 7 seed San Francisco 49ers, the No. 3 seed Chicago Bears would host the No. 6 seed Green Bay Packers, the No. 4 seed Tampa Bay Buccaneers would host the No. 5 seed Seattle Seahawks, and the No. 1 seed Philadelphia Eagles would get a first-round bye.

Luckily for Pittsburgh, the Steelers hold a head-to-head tiebreaker over both the Patriots and Colts — sitting just two games behind the two divisional leaders, with plenty of football still to play.
