LSU football will learn its bowl destination on Sunday. Hours ahead, ESPN released its final bowl projections. ESPN has LSU heading to Nashville for the Music City Bowl, facing Illinois.
The Music City Bowl takes place on Dec. 30 in Nashville, TN. Kickoff is slotted for 4:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.

LSU’s last trip to the Music City Bowl came in 2014, where Les Miles’ LSU squad fell to Brian Kelly’s Notre Dame. Despite the loss, it was a breakout game for LSU freshman running back Leonard Fournette.
LSU interim head coach Frank Wilson is expected to remain in the same role through the bowl game. Its unclear if Wilson will be a part of Lane Kiffin’s future LSU staff. If Wilson isn’t part of those plans and opts to leave for another job before the bowl, LSU would likely turn to Blake Baker or Corey Raymond in the interim.
If the destination isn’t Nashville, other options include a return to the Texas Bowl, where LSU defeated Baylor last year.
