Broncos announce uniform for Christmas game vs. Chiefs

The Denver Broncos will wear all-white uniforms against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day, the team announced Monday.

NFL teams are required to wear their alternate helmets for at least a week before using them in a game, and because the Broncos will have light sessions this week leading up to Thursday Night Football, they wore their alternate white helmet in practice last week. With the league’s practice requirement met, Denver’s alternate helmet is now prepped for a special Christmas Day showdown with a division rival.

The Broncos will complete an all-white look with white jerseys, white pants and white socks. That would contrast nicely to a potential all-red look from the Chiefs.

NFL teams are allowed to wear alternate/throwback uniforms up to four times per season. Denver previously wore its alternate blue jersey on Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4, and its throwback look against the Dallas Cowboys (Week 8) and Raiders (Week 10). The Broncos will wear the beautiful throwback uniform again against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18 (Jan. 3/4).

Denver unveiled a new uniform wardrobe last year, and the NFL relaxed its rules this offseason, allowing teams to wear alternate helmets with non-alterate jerseys, which is why Denver can wear its alternate helmet with its standard road jersey.

Broncos fans can also look forward to the team’s upcoming “Rivalries” series uniform, which is set to arrive in 2027.
