Arizona Cardinals try out 2 TE, 2 DL


We can expect to see roster moves and practice squad moves Wednesday.

The Arizona Cardinals have lost tight end Tip Reiman for the season after a gruesome injury on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. On Tuesday, they prepared for roster moves that will surely be announced Wednesday.

They released safety Patrick McMorris from the practice squad and had tryouts for four players, including two tight ends.

Cardinals try out 4 players

According to the NFL transaction report on Tuesday, the Cardinals tried out these four players.

  • TE Pharoah Brown
  • TE Nick Muse
  • DL Isaiah Raikes
  • DL Jahvaree Ritzie

Brown is a 31-year-old tight end who has been in the league since 2017. He is 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds and has primarily been a blocking tight end. He spent time with the Cleveland Browns when Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing was quarterbacks coach there.

Muse is 6-5 and 252 pounds and spent three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings from 2022-2024, appearing in 16 games and catching one pass.

Raikes is an undrafted rookie who signed originally with the Tennessee Titans but was cut on Sept. 3. He is 6-1 and 310 pounds and played collegiately for Auburn and Texas A&M.

Ritzie is another undrafted rookie. He is 6-4 and 294 pounds and played collegiately for North Carolina. He was signed originally by the New England Patriots, cut with roster cutdowns, signed to the practice squad and then released on Sept. 2.
