Boston Celtics make Washington Wizards defense disappear, win 146-101

The Boston Celtics beat the daylights out of the Washington Wizards on the road at Capitol One Arena on Thursday (Dec. 4) evening, the Celtics pummeling the Wizard’s B Team 146-101. That Boston did so with star forward Jaylen Brown resting up from a non-COVID illness ahead of a national TV tilt with their old rival, the Los Angeles Lakers, is all the more impressive.

The Celtics held the Wiz to just 32.0% from beyond the arc, nearly lapped Washington in terms of assists at 35-21, turned the ball over nearly half as much at 10-18, won the battle of the boards 46-37, and stole the ball 14 times to the Wiz’ 5 steals to lead by as much as 45 points in the wire-to-wire victory.
