With the 2025 NFL draft less than three weeks away, the mock drafts continue to roll out and excitement around the Chicago Bears is growing.
The Bears, who hold four picks in the Top 75 and seven total picks, will continue their roster building for new head coach Ben Johnson with plenty of options
A new mock draft from NFL.com’s Chad Reuter was released this week, which included selections for the first five rounds. There’s been plenty of speculation that the Bears will take top running back prospect Ashton Jeanty if he is available to them with the 10th overall pick, but there is also belief that they’ll continue to address the trenches with their early picks.
Here’s a breakdown of the players sent to Chicago:
Round 1, Pick 10: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
One of the biggest standouts at this year’s scouting combine, Armand Membou is a massive offensive tackle who could compete with Braxton Jones for the starting left tackle job in his rookie year. The Bears have emphasized rebuilding their offensive line to protect Caleb Williams in his second season and create a better run game behind him, the addition of Membou would continue that trend. In over 2,100 collegiate snaps, Membou only allowed three sacks, and that’s the type of protection that can take a quarterback and the team to the next level of contention.
Round 2, Pick 39: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
Kenneth Grant won’t receive as much hype and attention as fellow Wolverine Mason Graham, but he deserves similar respect as a top defensive tackle. A very powerful athlete, Grant didn’t produce high sack numbers in college but has the tools to be a force to be reckoned with at the next level. Chicago wouldn’t have to ask much out of him to start as they have Grady Jarrett, Andrew Billings, and Gervon Dexter Sr., at the position already. Grant would come in with plenty of untapped potential who can learn from those in front of him and grow into a potential disruptor on defense.
Round 2, Pick 41: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State
One half of a dynamic duo at running back for the national champion Ohio State Buckeyes, Quinshon Judkins is a perfect complement to veteran D’Andre Swift in the Bears backfield. It may take a bit for him to establish himself as a three-down top option at the position, but Judkins’ aggressive running style would make him an instant fan-favorite as someone not afraid of contact.
Round 3, Pick 72: Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA
If Carson Schwesinger makes it to their selection in the third round, Chicago should pounce all over this very productive linebacker out of UCLA. Totaling 136 tackles this past season for the Bruins, Schwesinger also added four sacks, three pass breakups, two interceptions, and a forced fumble to round out an impressive season. The Bears lost Jack Sanborn to free agency this offseason, and Schwesinger could take time to develop, but could be a very good special teams addition in the third round.
Round 5, Pick 148: Sai’vion Jones, EDGE, LSU
You can never have too many pass rushers, and the Bears would prove that with this selection of Sai’vionJones. A pure pass rusher, who fits well as a 4-3 edge rusher, Jones would be a good backup option with Austin Booker behind Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo. In 2024 wtih LSU, Jones totaled 4.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss, two of the areas he was consistent in during his collegiate career.
